Physician, entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist Dr. Lenny Peters is highly regarded in North Carolina and beyond for his dedication to quality healthcare, community well-being, and entrepreneurial spirit. He cofounded Bethany Medical in 1987 to provide primary and specialty care to Piedmont Triad residents. Beyond his practice, Dr. Peters has invested extensively in health care, real estate, and financial services. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Peters Medical Research. This Piedmont Triad-based research company conducts Phase II, III, and IV clinical studies on therapeutic remedies for various conditions. In 2006, Dr. Peters founded the Lenny Peters Foundation, which actively supports other nonprofit organizations doing meaningful work in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. Globally, the Foundation independently supports and operates 14 homes where children, the elderly, the sick and dying, and the poor are cared for in India, Africa, and Colombia.
